Right Hand Rule Horn Section Lays It Down

Right Hand Rule, featuring the uber talented Leslie “Mister” Jones, have been working on their new EP over the last couple of months with the most recent session featuring a fantastic horn section. David Urquidi, Sam Williams, Carlos Centeno and Leslie Jones. Right Hand Rule’s arrangements are a wide open canvas of anything goes which makes for some very interesting music and some very interesting recording sessions.

“This was such a fun session! We’ve been recording most of Leslie’s horn parts one at a time so it was great to be able to capture these guys as a group.” says engineer Charlie Waymire.

An Afternoon In The Studio Turns Heavy!

One day it’s a ballad, the next day it’s a funk tune. You just never know but on one particularly sunny day in Hollywood Charlie, Ernesto and Menno went a little insane and this is the result. A little hint…it’s not a ballad and it’s not a funk tune. Enjoy!

Kyng Recording New Tunes

Eddie, Pepe and Tony were back in the studio recently recording a new tune.

“These guys are the real deal. Every note they play is just pure rock ‘n roll. On top of that they’re a blast to work with” say engineer Charlie Waymire.

Charlie mixed 3 songs (“I Don’t Believe”, “Pushing & Pulling” and “Between the Blame”) on Kyng’s “Trampled Sun” (RealiD Records) which hit stores late last year and has been tearing up the airwaves.

“This band is right up my alley” says Charlie. “Heavy, melodic and REAL! Eddie has some serious pipes and great melodic sensibilities that put him right up there with the greats. I’ve known Pepe for a while and always new he could punish a kit but what he and Tony are doing on this record is simply crushing! Broken Decency Release New EP – “Sin & Filth”
After recording “Hang Sick” in early 2011 at Ultimate Rhythm Studio the band returned to finish off their EP titled “Sin & Filth” in early fall. “We had a blast recording this EP.” say Engineer/Mixer Charlie Waymire. “The guitar tones on this record are sick, the drums have tons of energy (Moscatelli is Animal!) and Celia sang her ass off!”

Right Hand Rule Back In The Studio

It’s been about a year but Right Hand Rule is back at Ultimate Rhythm Studio recording new tracks. Rhythm tracks are in the bag as well as vocals on two tunes. Guitars and sax are coming up next.

“Tracking Right Hand Rule is a lot of fun because the instrumentation varies pretty radically from tune to tune. We have room, and time, to experiment with different mic set ups and sounds which helps create a very interesting sonic landscape. On top of that Mister Jones and crew are really cool people and a lot of fun to work with.” says Charlie.

New EGH Album Getting Close!
EGH Sophomore Album In The Mixing Stage

It’s been a loooong time since EGH release their debut record “It’s About Time“. 2003 to be exact. The new release is getting very close and, at the moment, is set to be released in November. Tracking is done on all but one song and mixes are completely done on several tunes. Here are a few pictures from some of the sessions over the last year.

PDP Releases “Mass Delusion”
100% Heavyocity

Los Angeles, CA’s soldiers of Power Groove Metal, P.D.P, have released their debut full length album “Mass Delusion”. This record is 100% pure Heavyocity!

The drums for “Mass Delusion” were tracked at Ultimate Rhythm Studio by drummer Ro Batres. “Ro was absolutely impressive!” says drummer/engineer Charlie Waymire. “This is some crazy heavy, complicated and physically demanding music and we had a very limited amount of time to record drums. Imagine someone saying you have to move a mountain by hand and you only have 3 days. Ro not only killed it but played with more intensity and volume than I’ve ever seen someone play that kind of music. If you like killer riffs and bad ass drums then “Mass Delusion” is for you!”
