Episode 23 of FullOnDrums.com features some fantastic playing by Alice Cooper’s stickman Glen Sobel. Shot at Ultimate Rhythm Studios, Episode 23 showcases some great gear from Chandler Limited, Mojave Audio, Heil Sound, Golden Age Project and more.
A new project featuring members of the band Tomorrows Bad Seeds has been tracking drums at URS for their upcoming album. They’re using some pretty awesome drummers and last week was Josh Freese! Besides being a phenomenal drummer he’s one heck of a story teller!
Blues rockers Bleeding Harp have released their newest single “Live To Ride” and it’s available on iTunes. The drum tracks were recorded and played by Charlie Waymire at Ultimate Rhythm Studios.

Jordan Millar’s new album “Cold Lights On Curious Minds” was released on February 15th. All the drums were tracked by drummer Mike Avenaim and recorded by engineer Charlie Waymire at Ultimate Rhythm Studios.
Recorded in both Los Angeles and Sydney, Cold Lights On Curious Minds is the brand new offering from acoustic pop troubadour Jordan Millar. Featuring the single ‘Walking On Me’, Cold Lights On Curious Minds is available on iTunes and at JordanMillarMusic.com.

The boys in Right Hand Rule were back in the studio this week tracking the final song for their upcoming album. With all the rhythm tracks finished all that’s left is lead guitar, some percussion and vocals. It’s been a long road finishing up this album but it’s definitely going to be worth it!

The new year at the studio started out with a brand new project from drummer Abel Vallejo and guitarist Scott “SVH” Von Heldt. These two have written some really cool tunes with heavy riffs and mean grooves.
Abel is the quintessential rock drummer and gave each song exactly what it needed. Scott has one of the best sounding rigs on the planet! His tone and rhythm definitely set the vibe for the songs. We tracked some solid rhythm tracks!

Mike Avenaim was at Ultimate Rhythm Studios last week recording 11 tracks for Jordan Millar’s upcoming album. In 3 days not only were 11 tracks recorded but two entirely different kits were used, two entirely different sets of tom toms were used, 10 snare drums were used, two different mic setups were used as well as recording shakers, tambourine, hand claps and marching snares.
“Mike had a very specific idea of what he wanted his drums to sound like for each song. From an engineer’s standpoint that’s a lot of fun because we aren’t just trying to capture a drum sound. We’re capturing the sonic landscape that the rest of the album will be built around. Mike did a fantastic job!” says engineer Charlie Waymire.

Graham Harper is a young and talented singer/songwriter from Northern California. He has been recording his first single here at Ultimate Rhythm Studio with a fantastic band featuring drummer Nathan Carter, bassist Kurt Blankenship and Keyboardist Ronnie Moreno.
